Sandra Shmaryahu It is with great sorrow that we share the sad news of the passing of Sandra "Sandy" Shmaryahu, the inspiration and visionary for the Sharon Dog Park. Sandy fought a long, difficult battle with breast cancer over the course of a 13 year period.
The Sharon Dog Park exists today because of Sandy's vision and leadership. She was an amazing woman and a true dog lover.
We are also seeking a home for Sandy's two black labs, Tashmoo and Nava. (You may remember Tashmoo from the dog park!) Sandy's wish was that the dogs be placed together as a pair, so the family and friends responsible for placing the girls are only accepting serious inquiries about adopting BOTH dogs at this time. For more information, please see the courtesy posting and contact information for the girls on http://nearr.com/referrals.html.

Scoop the Poop! We know the SDP is great for human socialization as well as canine, but please keep an eye on your dog at all times. We have had several complaints recently from SDP users who have been kind enough to pick up after other people’s dogs. Be a responsible dog owner and scoop the poop.
